Meet Our Founders

Brian Shefferly

Coach Brian, co-founder of Elevate Athletics LLC, brings over 20 years of coaching experience focused on fostering excellence in youth football. His coaching journey began at the age of 14, igniting a lifelong passion for nurturing young talent. Brian's dedication led him to guide multiple youth teams and subsequently, to influential roles at Ponderosa High School and Bear Creek High School, where he contributed to the development of competitive high school football programs.

With a playing career that encompassed quarterback positions at Adams State and in semi-professional football with the Denver Titans, Brian brings invaluable on-field insights to his coaching philosophy. Leveraging his extensive playing experience, he aims to prepare young athletes for success at higher levels, instilling a deep understanding of the game's intricacies.

Over his extensive coaching career, Coach Shefferly has steered youth teams to numerous championship game appearances, and maintained a consistent record of competitive teams in high school by making playoffs every year as a coach. His coaching legacy extends beyond victories, focusing on the development of players destined for collegiate football. Brian's mentorship has guided aspiring athletes to achieve collegiate dreams, with alumni excelling in various collegiate programs, a testament to his commitment to nurturing talent.

Brian's expertise extends beyond coaching fields to organizing diverse football camps tailored for various age groups. His dedication to skill development and growth is evident in these camps, catering to football enthusiasts through personalized attention and tailored training sessions.

Tanner Wahlke

Coach Tanner is a seasoned football coach with over a decade of experience in coaching both youth and high school football. His coaching journey began when he volunteered to assist Coach Brian's dad with his Parker Hawks Team in 2013. Initially involved with coaching the Offensive Line, Coach Tanner's passion and expertise expanded to mentoring Wide Receivers, Tight Ends, and Defensive Backs throughout his tenure in youth football.

During his time coaching youth teams, Coach Tanner led and guided these teams to compete in multiple championships, solidifying their reputation as contenders within the league. This experience not only honed his coaching abilities but also instilled a sense of competitive spirit and teamwork within the young athletes.

Transitioning to higher levels, he seized an opportunity at Ponderosa High School in Parker, CO, serving as the C-Team Offensive Coordinator. After 1 Year with Ponderosa, he assumed the role of Varsity Wide Receivers Coach at Bear Creek High School in Lakewood, CO. His dedication and proficiency led to a promotion as Offensive Coordinator in 2023, culminating four impactful years at Bear Creek.

Throughout his coaching tenure, Coach Tanner has successfully guided numerous players to collegiate football programs. His coaching has contributed to the development of athletes securing spots in prestigious institutions like The University of Michigan, Montana State University, Northern Colorado University, Mesa State University, Hamilton College, Colorado State University-Pueblo, Black Hills State University, and Colorado School of Mines.

Driven by a commitment to fostering growth and excellence, his primary goal at Elevate Athletics LLC is to empower new coaches and athletes, aiding them in reaching new heights within the sport. His wealth of experience and dedication to mentoring and developing both coaches and athletes make him an invaluable asset in the pursuit of athletic success.
